Non-Profit Real Estate, LLC, (NPRE) is an interactive 501 c(3) organization, combining real estate and the work of Foundations, Charities, and other Non Profits. It is a new breed of what may be called “Hybrid Non Profits” , funded not so much by contributions as by providing a service. NPRE supports The American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association, The Susan B. Komen Foundation, The Leukaemia Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity, as well as other non- secular organizations both locally and nationally.
The Non Profit Real Estate company is creativity, innovation, and community service funded by entrepreneurs thinking outside the box. To do so, we must reimagine business itself toward a greater circle, building alliances and generating contributions from professional real estate agents to the Non Profit community.
Unlike typical foundations supported by major donors, NPRE provides the referral of experienced real estate agents to prospective clients. For example, in the process of considering a real estate sale or purchase, one in need of real estate services would contact NPRE and ask for a recommended commercial or residential agent specializing in their area. With over 30 years experience and without obligation, NPRE suggests two pre-qualified and selected agents for them to contact and interview. NPRE is not involved in the real estate transaction itself, but refers all client work to agents whose final selection is in the hands of the client. Standard in the industry, agents pay referral fees to other agents for referring them a new client. NPRE simply plays the role of another agent, earns the referral fee, and pays the majority to major local or national organizations.
In a typical residential transaction in Denver, the average sale price is about $250,000. At Closing, an average of $1,470 is generated for NPRE contributions subject to the arrangements between the client and their agent. So called discount brokers with limited services will likely not generate charitable contributions of the average size. As an example, that amount is sent to the charity or non-profit organization in the name of the client, not NPRE. Subject to approval, aside from organizations mentioned above, others are surely eligible. Commercial transactions generate much larger contributions.
